Since last month, many apparel shops has been displaying yellow colored clothes.
According to fashion sites, yellow seems to be one of the trend color for this spring/summer.
Fortunately, during last year's shopping cruise, I have bought one lemon yellow Springman tee.
At that time, I had no idea about trend colors. I just picked it up because it had Springman printed on it and the color resembled that of Indiana Pacers tee (well, they officially describe their team color as gold).
The scene is from "Seven Devil Chojins" arc, where Wolfman/Rikishiman (the tee calls him Wolfman; so hereafter, Wolfman) becomes the first victim of Devil Chojins. Wolfman encounters Springman at Tottori, famous for sand dunes. Although he looks comical, Springman is strategic and takes advantage of the sand to beat Wolfman.
I focused on the color combination of yellow-black.
According to "Furansu no Haishoku" (Agencement des Couleurs de la France), a book on French ways of color combination, the combination of yellow and black carries the highest visibility.
Also in Japanese tradition, black and yellow/gold is a popular combination seen in lacquerwares.
Or, in an elementary term, yellow and black resembles a honey bee.
So here they are, the styling of Springman tee in yellow/black.
Jacket: GU
Pants: GU
Backpack: Coleman
Ballet pumps: Shimamura
I took cue from a magazine's dressing. Adding tailored jacket to a t-shirt is so NBA player-ish. Although there are tons of NBA fashionistas, my favorite is Mike Conley. I think class and casualness is well balanced in his style.
Next three are versions with skirt. It looks geeky, a taste I like.
If you want to a more urbane taste, change the flared skirt into tight one.
Skirt: GU
Sneakers: Adidas Run Neo
As a Pacers fan, you cannot miss yellow and blue colony styling.
Knit cap: Indiana Pacers
Flannel shirt: Uniqlo
Gaucho pants: handmade (chambray fabric)
Sneakers: Nike Internationalist
Another version of gaucho pants styling. I made the pants with hickory fabric. The vertical stripes of the fabric make you look sleek.
Jacket: Uniqlo (Marine Hooded Jacket for Men)
Sneakers: Nike Dual Fusion
This yellow jacket has no lining cloth, but it is useful when protecting yourself from wind just as described in Uniqlo's English site. You can even wear it on February day in Tokyo if you are armed with thermal underwear.

Springman is not depicted attractively in the original Kinnikuman arc during the 80s. He's just one of Buffaloman's henchmen, known for his prickliness.
However, in the new series, he reveals his past, including his inner conflict toward Buffaloman when he switched sides, and his complex about his comical appearance and skills (inferior to other Devil Chojins).
I was all choked up when reading comic volume 43. Springman sympathizes with Stereo Cassette King, who is also made fun of his looks.
Springman's fighting spirit awakens when Turboman (one of the Perfect Chojins, the archrival in this new series) makes a mock of Stereo Cassette King--whom Turboman blew away--as "plaything chojin".
Emotional flashback involving friendship with Stereo Cassette King is provided during the bout between Springman and Turboman, so if you have a chance, take a look at it!
